Ingredients
  • ½ recipe Grandma’s Pie Crust
  • 12 pieces bacon, cooked so crispy and then crumbled
  • ¼ cup onion finely minced
  • 1 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and Pepper
Preparation Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425º.
  2. Roll out pie dough and place in a pie plate.
  3. Sprinkle bacon in the bottom of the pie crust, then the onion and then the cheese.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, cream, milk, cayenne, salt and pepper. Pour into pie crust and then bake at 425º for 15 minutes
  5. Reduce heat to 350º and continue baking for about 30 minutes or until egg filling is set.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool about 10 minutes before serving.
