Ingredients
  • about half gallon cold water
  • ½ cup coarsely ground coffee
  • a liquid sweetener such as a coffee syrup, honey, agave to taste (if you like sweet coffee, I don't, so I leave this out)
Preparation Instructions
  1. This is super easy.
  2. Place the coffee and the water in a container large enough to allow the coffee to expand as it absorbs the water. I like to use something with at least an inch of headspace. If using a half gallon mason jar little more than that should work.
  3. Cover and set on the counter for about 24 hours.
  4. Strain the grounds out (or be like me and just leave them in there for extra strong coffee) and chill.
  5. Serve over ice with cream (if desired).
