{make your own} Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Serves: makes about 2 cups
 
Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons pureed pumpkin
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
Preparation Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients in medium saucepan over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to low and simmer until thick and syrupy. Keep a close eye on it and stir often to prevent burning.
  3. Once thick, pass through a fine mesh strainer to remove all the 'stuff'.
  4. Bottle it up and use it!
