Finished!

Linus got legos for Christmas.

Star Wars legos.

From Nana.

His favorite thing about it? R2D2.

The funny thing about it is he pronounces it ‘R – tooty – 2’.

It’s too cute to correct.

We were mean parents and made him wait until we got home to put it together. So he had to wait like a week and a half.

It was like torture.

He was falling asleep in the back of the car on the way home from airport asking if he could put it together as soon as we got home. We had been up since 4am but it didn’t matter. He had waited long enough and couldn’t take it anymore!

So Jeremiah helped him get the body put together but then was to tired to think anymore so Linus had to wait even longer to get the wings on. He was told, “We’ll finish it tomorrow.”

Then he had hockey the next day so there was no time to work on it after Jeremiah got home from work.

Then yesterday Uncle Daniel came over. Uncle Daniel is actually Jeremiah’s cousin but we have the kids call him Uncle anyway. Linus was still at school when he got here. I heard, “Oh, cool!” as I walked down to the playroom. It was Daniel looking at the Star Wars thing. So I rushed Linus home and they holed themselves up in the basement until dinner getting the wings on.

Linus is pretty stinkin’ excited about it.

And I am pretty proud of him for the patience he had with waiting and the patience he had to actually construct the thing himself.
