Simple Grilled Pineapple

Share

Grilled Pineapple | FoodsOfOurLives.comOk, so we all love pineapple right?

Especially if it is fresh. Mmmmm, thinking about fresh Hawaiian pineapple right now….. Ahem, ok, so if you love pineapple like I do, you need to try grilling it.

It is very easy to do, it is quick and it is amazing.

The first time I had grilled pineapple was at a Brazilian steak house in Ohio, of all places. The server just wandered around the restaurant with a pineapple on a huge skewer that they had used to roast it and he would just cut a chunk off for whoever wanted some. I just about died when I ate it.

I like to serve it with vanilla ice cream and oh my word it is to die for.

Serves: one pineapple
Ingredients
  • 1 whole fresh pineapple, peeled and cored or you can purchase the ones that are already "butchered" out at the grocery store if you want to make it easier
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • vanilla ice cream (optional of course)
Preparation Instructions
  1. Preheat your grill to high.
  2. Then all you need to do it stick it on the grill. Give it about 5 minutes on each side, you want it just heated through.
  3. Remove from the grill and place on a serving platter and drizzle with honey.
  4. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream
