Well, So Much For That

Share

I’ll be honest.

We think our kids are pretty cute.

We do recognize that we are, of course, a little biased. But that doesn’t really stop us, or bother us for that matter. Both Jeremiah and I are pretty independent that way.

So the other night we let the kids wear their new Christmas jammies to bed to try them out. Of course we wanted a picture, they were so cute!

As you can see, they were less than cooperative.

They wanted to watch the Grinch.

Which Linus found out about because we have been listening to Christmas music in the car non-stop since the middle of November and the radio station played the Grinch song. You know the one, “You’re a mean one, Mister Grinch…” and Linus just fell in love. He wanted me to play it again and I couldn’t cause it was on the radio and we were on the freeway going 75mph and I didn’t think Pandora would be fast enough, so eventually we got around to the fact that it was from a movie. Well then of course he wanted to see the movie, but we don’t own it for some odd reason and Nana doesn’t own it and I didn’t really feel like spending MORE money on STUFF so I was wanting to wait to buy it and I couldn’t find it for free on hulu or youtube and the tv programming was not looking good either.

So Saturday night we loaded everyone up, called O’Malley’s on the way and ordered wings and fries to go, stopped at Blockbuster, went and got the wings and then headed back home for a delicious wing supper and to watch the Grinch. It is surprisingly and slightly disappointingly short, but it is one of my favorite Christmas movies from childhood so it felt pretty nostalgic to sit in the dark living room with the Christmas lights glowing, eating wings (?), and watching it.

Man, those wings were amazing.

And the kids have watched the movie 4 times.
