Box Kitchen

This was the perfect solution to my dilemma. My dilemma was that I really wanted a kitchen for the kids to play with but I didn’t want to actually go out and purchase one. I don’t know why. I just didn’t. They are always so tacky looking and how often are they really going to play with it. Unless of course I get the one from Pottery Barn that is stinkin’ cute but like $500. Ha! Right. So I get this wonderful magazine that has all kinds of fun craft ideas for kids. They had this in there.

Of course theirs looked WAY better than mine. But the kids don’t seem to mind. They have been playing with it almost non-stop since I made it.

I went to Wal-mart and bought a bowl for the sink for $1.00 and a soap pump for $2.00. Linus made the burners out of paper plates and I cut everything else out of moving boxes. We made a huge mess but it was so much fun. Christian kept crawling into the ‘oven’ so Linus and Juliette decided to pretend to bake him. Then this happened:

Like that look? The one that says, I know I am doing something naughty.

I know you see me doing something naughty.

I am just wondering what you are going to do about it.

I get that look a lot these days.

Snot.
