Total time:
Serves: makes about 1 quart powder
- 2 cups non-fat dried milk powder
- 1½ cups cornstarch
- ½ cup chicken, beef, or vegetable bouillon
- ½ cup dried minced onions
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 to 1½ teapoons black pepper
- Find yourself a large jar or container (I used a half gallon mason jar) to store it in and combine all the ingredients in the container.
- To use the mix in place of one can of soup, place ⅓ cup of the powder mix and 1¼ cups cold water in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Cook and whisk until thick and bubbly, about 2-3 minutes.
- You can add additional ingredients if you like, mushrooms, a bit of chopped chicken, some fresh herbs. The world is your oyster ;)
